Single Stream Recycling

What is Single Stream Recycling?

In June 2009, the Town of North Andover transitioned to Single Stream Recycling.  Single Stream Recycling is a system in which all recyclables, including clean newspaper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum, junk mail, etc, are placed in a single recycling container.

The Town of North Andover’s Recycling Contractor is the privately-owned business, North Andover Waste Systems / TBI, which is conveniently located at 210 Holt Road North Andover, MA 01845. NAWS / TBI provide eligible residents with a recycling toter free of charge.  To obtain one, please call 978-686-2020

Recycling is collected every other week.  Please have it curbside before 7am.  When possible please place the toter on the opposite side of your driveway, away from your trash barrels.

For your curbside pickup day:  Curbside Collection Routes

Please break down all cardboard boxes and ensure recycling will completely fall out of the toter when turned upside down.

Recycle Smart Guide

Plastic Bags, Bubble Wrap, Plastic Wrap, Tanglers, or Hazardous Items are NEVER allowed in the recycling toter, recycling dumpster or recycling containers.

For a list of items allowed to be dropped off at NAWS / TBI please see Recycling at a Glance and Updated Pricing.
