Each year, more than 3,000 children participate in Joseph N. Hermann Youth Center programming. They are welcomed into a safe and structured facility and are engaged in a wide range of recreation, social, adventure and educational activities that help them develop into well-rounded, positive leaders in our community. The extent of programs, services, resources and support that is available for North Andover’s youth here at the Youth Center is made possible by contributions from individuals like you. 

We are very appreciative of the continued efforts and dedication of the North Andover Youth & Recreation Services staff, for providing our children with an environment that promotes their wellbeing and development. The staff recognize that each child is unique and make every effort to ensure that all children who attend the Youth Center have an enjoyable experience and are provided the opportunity to participate in the many programs and activities that are offered.

Due to generous community support, we were able to make the following enhancements to the Joseph N. Hermann Youth Center over the past year: 

  • Expanded programming including: assistance for the annual Holiday Gift Drive program, a Book Club, Lego Club, STEM Program, and a Gardening/Green Team Initiative. The programs sponsored by JNHYC, Inc. each year are free of charge for participants. 
  • New equipment and enhancements including: a pool table, bubble hockey game, Weight Room upgrades, a concrete Connect 4 lawn game, equipment for Summer Fun, Sports & Rec and Girl Got Game, new safety padding in the gym, carpet for the 2nd floor, and annual maintenance to the gym floor. 
  • And as always, financial support to North Andover youth who are unable to afford the membership or program fees. Over the last year, we were able to help a record number of youth who would have been unable to participate in the after school membership or summer programs without financial assistance. 

We are asking for your financial support so we can continue to implement new programs, upgrade equipment, and continue providing financial assistance to our programs in the coming year. Your contribution, no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated. It is not only an investment in this great facility and its programs, but also in the youth of North Andover.
