Erik was involved in Peabody, MA's Youth & Recreation Services since his childhood, starting out as a camper and staying with the program until he was a part-time summer camp counselor. After his college career at Salem State University, Erik briefly spent time working with the Salem, MA Parks & Recreation program, helping create and implement new and exciting programs. Erik then spent a few years traveling and teaching English in Central and South America, specifically Guatemala and Peru. Now Erik is showcasing his skill set as the new Adventure/Recreation Coordinator at North Andover Youth & Recreation Services.
Erik has always had a passion for youth education and the outdoors, and loves finding ways to combine both of those passions. Whether he is leading surf programs by the beach or trailblazing hiking programs in the mountains, Erik is equally content in any adventure situation. Always up for the next challenge, Erik also appreciates a quiet and relaxing environment including yoga and silent meditation.
In his free time Erik enjoys swimming at the beach and riding his bike on many of North Andover's amazing bike paths. Erik also plays Dungeons and Dragons with a group of friends he has had since childhood.
